TUCANO URBANO STEVE JACKET REVIEW

One of our favourite spring through autumn jackets from Tucano Urbano got a very positive review from MCN (Motorcycle News) recently - here's their review:

Tucano Urbano Steve jacket, from £91

What’s good: There are very few jackets in my wardrobe that I can honestly say suit both riding and casual wear. This Tucano Urbano motorcycle jacket is my favourite. It’s a tailored cut, and quite high-waisted at that, but if you can carry off the slimline look the curiously named ‘Steve’ exudes a fair amount of waxed cotton cool when you’re posing around town on your Ducati Monster, goggles up, on a sunny day. It also comes with removable armour that’s very easy to fit to pockets in the elbow and shoulder areas, and a number of useful pockets for door keys, ear plugs, wallet and the like.

What’s not: The makers claim the jacket is “shower-proof” but it struggled to keep out a four-minute deluge en route to work last week, leaving the arms of the cardigan I was wearing beneath a touch on the soggy side. I’d err on the side of caution, and wear it only on warm, sunny days – for this use it’s perfect.

Check out the Steve for yourself.
