Good but not flawless

I have been eyeing up these trousers for some time now and I think we can all see why. They look fantastic. Clearly the styling has been a key factor for the guys at Fuel. I have been riding in these for a few weeks now and they are superbly comfortable on the bike and I’ve had many compliments from friends and fellow riders. The knee and hip armour inserts do not move around in there pouches despite not being secured in place by anything. The denim is thick and well made with chunky YKK zips throughout. There are a few downsides though. Firstly the pockets are a joke. They are simply too shallow to put anything in that won’t annoy you while riding. I tried having my phone in my pocket it was extremely uncomfortable, same with my wallet. Pointless pockets too shallow. Secondly and this is probably due to my height of 6”2 and 34 waist and the size is ever so slightly short in the leg. I would have liked a few more inches in the leg so that the hem covers my ankle on the bike. But there is a gap between my boots and the bottom of the trousers, it’s ever so slight but it’s there and I just think that for £250 they should be perfect. Alas I am splitting hairs and they are very comfortable I have worn them more than my leathers. I just wish for top dollar they could adjust the length and make the pockets bigger. But I am still very happy with my purchase.
Big thanks to cafe racer also for swift delivery and five star customer service!

Awesome pants

These pants look the part, feel awesome and the removable knee pads are a wear all day bonus. Sure they are expensive, but hopefully these will last as long as my bike legs do.

Fuel Sergeant Pants

Recently purchased Fuel Sergeant Motorcycle Trousers. Extremely comfortable & warm. I’ve contacted Fuel with my thoughts on these trousers which are.... front pockets not deep enough, front zip pocket not deep enough, cut of waist needs to be higher to accommodate a slightly longer fly zip & also the cut needs to be tapered upwards at the back for more comfort & less draught for when the jackets ride up when in the riding position especially on a Sportsbike. A zipper at the rear of jean would be a great idea to then attach to a Fuel jacket which would obviously have the same gauge zip. I have two bikes..... Honda Fireblade & a BMW R Nine T. We as bikers don’t always want to be fully leathered up so these Fuel jeans are perfect for a short blat knowing you have some protection especially with the armour slipped in which I have to say doesn’t inhibit the riding experience in any way. The armour is then easily removed if not needed..... even comes with a small bag to put them in.... nice touch. Overall I’m very pleased, now waiting for them to fade a bit, I personally like the worn in look, on that note a slightly worn faded look would be cool. The coolest man to have ever ridden a motorcycle..... Steve McQueen would have looked even cooler in Fuel clothing.... if that were possible :) :)

Last pants you'll ever need

Quality is outstanding. Fits perfect (although you will need to go a size up) Details are amazing and fully blacked-out, real black colour. Don't look any further, these are the riding pants you want!

One of the Best

Having had many motorcycle jeans, I found that the Fuel Sergeant Trousers/jeans one of the best I have every worn. Without the armor provided, it seems that there is some sort of protection already in place. With the addition of the included armor, I really do not detect any added weight or bulk. The trousers are very comfortable. I highly recommend them. Fuel motorcycle gear are not available in North America so I recommend that for those from the continent to purchase from The Cafe Racer.

Fuel Sergeant Trousers black

Very robust riding jeans that said not too heavy. Fit is perfect if you buy a size up, I am usually 34 in jeans, 36 was spot on. The length being 32 I thought would be a bit short as I am 6’2” but they are fine. I would say slim rather than skinny, with enough room at the leg to get over lace up boots, if enduro boots is your thing like me tuck the trousers in which is very comfortable as the are no zips or buttons to annoy. They do look very much like riding jeans no question on their intended purpose. Armour is very mailable when temperature is up or with body heat, extremely comfortable and a doddle to remove. I have several riding jeans these are bar far the best I have tried.

Excellent Pants! Expensive but worth it

After a lot of thought I took the plunge and purchased these in black. Most I’ve ever spent on motorcycle clothing including jacket but well worth it. Super comfortable both with and without the hip armour which you don’t even notice is there. The outer knee pocket is a simple but genius idea and it takes seconds to remove if you want to walk around for a while off bike exploring. Jeans look great and even turned up for a short arse like myself they look good. Definitely go for a size larger than you usually go for in normal pants, I usually wear 30” but the 32” are perfect. That said, usually jeans are under sized anyway but the hip armour in these make them snug. Heavy weight and feel robust but I haven’t tried them in the heat yet. Was going to go for the desert colour but black was the safest bet. All in all they are well worth the cost if you want good looking jeans, just don’t tell my wife how much they cost. Who needs a holiday anyway?
